Quale modo migliore per passare la serata se non con un bel film in compagnia?
ESN Udine vi invita al Cineforum con Iris, un’associazione studentesca LGBTQ+ che si occupa di aumentare la visibilità della comunità, promuovere momenti di incontro e di dialogo, diffondere informazioni, cultura ed educazione.
Insieme vi porteremo nella Copenaghen degli anni '20 con "The Danish Girl", film del 2015 (proiettato in inglese) vincitore di numerosi premi, tra cui un Oscar e un Queer Lion.
Il film, ispirato alla vita di Lili Elbe e Gerda Wegener, racconta la storia del matrimonio tra le due pittrici danesi, esplorando il tema della transessualità, dell'impatto sul rapporto di coppia e delle implicazioni psicologiche e sociali in un'epoca in cui ogni "deviazione dalla norma" veniva trattata come malattia mentale.
Dopo la proiezione seguirà un breve dibattito con l'associazione Iris per approfondire i temi del film.

Hello Erasmus || International Student!
What better way to spend the evening than to enjoy a movie in company?
ESN Udine invites you to the Cineforum in partnership with Iris, an LGBTQ+ student association that wants to bring more visibility to the community, promoting encounter and dialogue, divulging information, culture and education.
Together we will take you to Copenaghen in the '20s with "The Danish Girl", a movie from 2015 (screening in english) winner of several awards, including an Oscar and a Queer Lion.
The movie, inspired by the lives of Lili Elbe and Gerda Wegner, tells the story of the marriage between the two danish painters, exploring the theme of transexuality, the impact it has on a couple's relationship, and the psychological and social implications in a time where every "deviance from the norm" was treated as a mental illness.
After the screening, we will have a short debate with Iris to better understand the movie's themes.
